Look Around You

As above-so below
The gods are crazy-they fight in churches
over bones of contention-
while fleshed out arguments
are eaten like communion
devoured daily newspapers, CNN
Fox news is not/dumbing down is
we see through a mist at a rock concert
fed headlines, fattened by ads
gnawing like animals
there is an abattoir operating
we are hamburgers
grilled to perfection by police
living between buns
masticated upon
if ever we were to ask
we would be told to EAT UP!
other people are starving.
